Welcome to the first issue of our new JitterJam™ Insight newsletter! Quite a bit has happened since we last connected with you, and we’d love to tell you what’s new at JitterJam!
Connecting with Facebook "Fans"
With almost 500M users and over 3B visits per month, Facebook has emerged as THE most influential social network. Facebook’s social “swarm” offers your business a great opportunity to directly reach consumers, and JitterJam’s Facebook capabilities enable you to form a deeper connection with your Facebook contacts, capture rich data about them, and market directly to them. In fact, JitterJam is unique in its ability to capture Facebook contact data and drive permission-based communications with those contacts over multiple channels!
What can you do with JitterJam on Facebook?

This issue’s spotlight shines on MicroArts Creative Agency™ and their use of JitterJam with a key client—World’s Best Cat Litter™. MicroArts specializes in branding and communications with a focus on driving new revenues through predictable ROI. Using JitterJam to build the client’s contact database, MicroArts was able to deliver a 19% email open rate and an 8% click-through rate to the client’s Make Me Happy permission marketing page within two hours of campaign delivery. Here’s how they did it.

Spreading the news about this great product is MicroArts’ job, and they take it seriously…so seriously that they have data flying at them from all directions—web-visits, Facebook and Twitter conversations, blog comments, and more. MicroArts was finding it increasingly difficult to manage the volume and expanding channels of conversations on the real-time web. The hunt was on for a tool that would help MicroArts manage their client’s social media outreach and engagement and address their other pain points as well.
Building the Database
In March 2010, MicroArts chose JitterJam to collect and develop consumer intelligence, expand their social presence and deliver and measure outbound campaigns for their World’s Best Cat Litter™ account. They have been steadily building their client’s consumer database through several methods:
- Finding and connecting with new consumers through JitterJam’s social searches across Twitter and blogs
- Collecting Facebook contacts through JitterJam’s Facebook features
- Driving engagement through other coordinated marketing activities and messaging, including digital advertisements and promotions, newsletters, coupon offers and web content
API Integration
MicroArts has also taken advantage of JitterJam’s API to continually pass new contacts and conversations from their web site into the JitterJam database. JitterJam’s intelligent system automatically tags and segments these new contacts upon import based upon the client’s unique specifications!
Make Me Happy Campaign
This dynamic duo of agency and client has now taken the consumer engagement process one step further by executing a JitterJam Make Me Happy campaign. Using JitterJam’s permission marketing system, MicroArts is allowing the individual consumer to drive exactly how and how often they’d like to hear from World’s Best Cat Litter™ and what information they’d like to receive. Within just 2 hours of sending out an email with a Make Me Happy link to a portion of their contact database, they had a 19% email open rate and an 8% click-through rate to provide additional interest, demographic and communication preference data to World’s Best Cat Litter™! Consumers are happy to engage more deeply with brands they like, and JitterJam is helping brands build greater trust and consumer satisfaction through its social marketing system!
